Unsaturated Zone Hydrology

Certain projects undertaken by Dr. Snow have been dominated by the hydrologic properties of their unsaturated environment. Listed below are pertinent representatives of field and model studies of vadose flow.

Directed thesis on stream depletion of valley aquifers by irrigation wells
Directed thesis on groundwater recharge of San Luis Valley, Colorado
Consultant to Fugro, Inc. on hydrology of cooling ponds on unsaturated alluvium at Palo Verde Nuclear Reactor Site, Arizona
Consultant to Elam, Burke, Jepperson and Boyd, Boise, Idaho on causes of Teton Dam failure, situated on the unsaturated zone in welded tuff.
Consultant to Conoco, Inc. on feasibility of in-situ leaching of copper at Florence, Arizona in unsaturated and saturated fracture systems.
-85 Coordinator of water resource evaluations with Desert Research Institute, government of Egypt
-88 Consultant to EPA on contaminant transport, Stringfellow Superfund Site, in a desert valley near Riverside, California
-90 Consultant to EPA on contaminant transport in unsaturated zone and plume migration at OII Landfill, Montbello, California
-92 Prepared testimony for EPA on DNAPL transport in alluvium at Longview, Washington
-1993 Review of Dames and Moore work on unsaturated grus at Compo Landfill, CA, for Science Applications International Corp.
