Hazwaste Experience
Dr. Snow was among the earliest of contributors to the theory
of groundwater transport of contaminants in fractured rock. He worked
on the movement of radionuclides in both saturated and unsaturated fractured
rock at the Nevada Test Site, the Basalt Waste Isolation Plant, Washington
and the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in New Mexico. He has been a contributor
to, or reviewer of groundwater contaimination studies at numerous landfills,
mainly Superfund projects for EPA and DOJ. Dr. Snow worked on hydrological
features of nuclear-waste disposal projects, on aquifer contamination
studies related to mines and landfills, and of waste disposal by fluid
injection.
