Technical Reviews
Reviews by a senior hydrogeologist or geotechnical engineer are cost-effective at the beginning and end of a project. These may often help engineering firms serving mining, civil, industrial and governmental clients. I have had many occasions to provide such oversight.

Member review panel for radwaste disposal studies of LLL, LBL, Sandia, Rockwell-Hanford and USGS (1978)

Consultant to SAIC on fracture hydrology at Stringfellow Superfund Site, CA. Reviewed contractor’s investigations and modeling of contaminant plume migration for Calif. Div. of Health. Revised the hydrological assessment of the RI, wrote all chapters of the FS related to toxic waste transport in the granite, designed dewatering and site drainage methods as well as vapor-phase remediation plans. Consultant to SAIC for USGS work on Yucca Mountain Repository. Reviewed saturated and unsaturated flow in fractured tuffs. Drafted large parts of the Site Characterization Plan. Wrote position papers on travel time, in-situ testing procedures and regulatory issues. (198-92)
